Biography

Dr. Srinivas Bangalore (CV) is a distinguished  technology leader with a robust background in artificial intelligence  and a proven track record of driving innovation and strategic vision in  the tech industry. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of AI  at Interactions Corporation, he oversees the complete lifecycle of AI  products, from cutting-edge research to successful delivery, in addition  to leading strategic growth initiatives.

Dr. Bangalore's career  began at AT&T Labs--Research, where he made significant  contributions as a Principal Research Scientist from 1997 after earning  his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. His  expertise spans a wide array of natural language processing domains,  including Spoken Language Translation, Multimodal Understanding,  Language Generation, and Question-Answering. He has co-edited three  influential books on Supertagging, Natural Language Generation, and  Language Translation, authored over 100 research publications, and holds  more than 140 patents in these fields.

An esteemed educator, Dr.  Bangalore has enriched the academic community as an adjunct associate  professor at Columbia University, a visiting professor at Princeton  University, and Otto Mnstead Professor at Copenhagen Business School.  His excellence in mentorship and innovation has been recognized with  prestigious awards such as the Morris and Dorothy Rubinoff Award for  outstanding dissertation, the AT&T Outstanding Mentor Award, and the  AT&T Science & Technology Medal for his technical leadership  and pioneering contributions in Spoken Language Technology and Services.

In  addition to his professional and academic achievements, Dr. Bangalore  has served on the editorial boards of prominent journals like the  Computational Linguistics Journal and Computer, Speech and Language  Journal, and has been an active participant in the program committees  for numerous ACL and IEEE Speech Conferences.
